Today was the first day that Cooper attended four year old Kinder - well, he only had to go for 1.5 hours. This week is transition week to get the kids used to their new environment. The countdown to kinder has been on for some time, and he was super excited. I think because we have been used to him going to creche, none of us had any tears. I have been waiting for this moment for years, the moment when you feel like they are really growing up and moving onto that next milestone.
He totally rocked his first day of kinder, he made us so proud. He was knocking on the door to try and get the teachers attention as soon we arrived. Even Charlie was excited, although he wanted to stay and play with the iron and do some ironing! For the first time in a few weeks, our little men were separated and they missed each other. If Charlie could have stayed at kinder too, he would have - we had to drag him away from there kicking and screaming!
It was so cute when we collected Coops and he told us he had two new best friends, one a boy and one a girl. In the car park they were all yelling out to one another - cute friendships already formed, and excited little kinder kids who can't wait to get back there tomorrow.
As Will and I sit here right now sipping on a glass of red, we are proud that we have raised a beautiful little boy who is ready for that next phase in his life.
How did your children go with their first day of Kinder?
Did they totally rock it?
Awww that is sweet. Love the photos, he DOES look super happy about going to kinder. It was my big boy's first day of big school today and I was very emotional... he on the other hand, did great and had a ball... exactly how I wanted it to be :) xo
